Miser Profile: Adam Barry

Born: 4th April 1981
From: Worcester
Plays: Hammond Organ, Piano, Harmonica

About: Adam grew up in a quiet village in Worcestershire called Callow End, the youngest of 3 boys. At the age of 10 he joined his local church, where his Mum used to run the Sunday School, and soon became the organist right through till the age of 16. It was at this age that his path crossed with Neil whom he met at college. Since leaving college, Adam has played in numerous bands, as well as working for acts ranging from Ocean Colour Scene to Bruce Forsythe! He is also a Whiskey and Rum connoisseur.

Equipment: For live gigs up until very recently when smoke started to billow out of it, Adam has used a 1963 Hammond Organ L102. Due to the sheer weight and for fear of further damage, this now stays in the studio for recording.

Adam now uses a Roland V-Combo keyboard for Organ & Wurlitzer sounds. This runs through a Motion Sound PRO 3X Rotary Horn Amplifier. The signal is split with one feed going to the FOH engineer and the other for Adam's on stage monitoring through a Laney AH100 Keyboard Amp.

Adam's other main keyboard is a 1973 Fender Rhodes 73 Stage Piano.

He also has a selection of Hohner Big River Harmonicas.
